India highlights science and technology transformation across bioeconomy, weather and space

What Happened?

On 15 June, the government presented a review of science and technology growth over the preceding twelve years. It highlighted a bioeconomy rising from about USD 10 billion in 2014 to more than USD 190 billion, expansion of weather radars from 17 to nearly 50, growth of space startups to several hundred, and applications ranging from healthcare to agriculture and infrastructure.
